The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed regarding the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service level made for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
